1. Introduction

RigNotes ("we," "us," or "our") operates a field record-keeping platform for agricultural teams. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when using our service, including SMS-based logging.

2. Information We Collect

Mobile phone numbers provided during sign-up or worker onboarding.
Name and farm or company affiliation.
Inbound and outbound SMS message content submitted for field record-keeping.
Application records derived from those messages (product name, rate, location, date/time).
GPS coordinates if included in a submitted message.
Account credentials for farm managers and company administrators.

3. How We Use Your Information

To process and store pesticide application, fertilizer application, and field activity records on your behalf.
To send SMS confirmations and field log receipts to enrolled workers.
To generate exportable records for WSDA or other regulatory recordkeeping purposes.
To maintain and improve the RigNotes platform.

4. SMS Consent and Mobile Messaging

RigNotes does not share, sell, rent, or transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties.

By enrolling your mobile number in RigNotes, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages for the purpose of logging field activity. Message frequency varies based on field activity. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for support.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or mobile phone numbers to third parties.
We may share data with third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, database services) solely to operate the platform. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
We may disclose data if required by law or valid legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your records for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@rignotes.com. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You are responsible for exporting any records you need for regulatory compliance before requesting deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your data as described in Section 6.
Opt-Out of SMS: Reply STOP to any RigNotes message to stop receiving SMS.
